Montreal is not a kind city to ones skin, especially during the harsh winter months. I always find around this time of year, two things happen to make me feel super ugly. First, my skin cracks, dries, itches and has an overall meh appearance. Secondly, adding insult to injury, if I haven’t seen my friend the sun via vacation, I look like a terrorist (being half Arab, I feel ok making that statement). Dark circles and pale skin ensue. Ugh. So FUGLY yo.
Okay, let’s quit complaining and remedy the situation. STAT.
I have a love for beauty products…some may substitute love with “unhealthy obsession” but potato/potatoe, right? Over the years, I’ve mourned many dollars spent on over-priced products. I have narrowed it down to spending on a few items where I physically see a difference.
Here is the list:
IN THE MORNING
1. In the morning, I shower, washing my face with my newest love – YOUTH to the PEOPLE KALE + GREEN TEA SPINACH VITAMINS Superfood Cleanser. The smell makes me nostalgic to getting facial. Mmm..
2. Out of the shower, I use THE Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution with cotton pad.
3. Followed by, FAB * First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream.
Then I continue to my make-up routine. Before bed, I do things slightly different:
IN THE EVENING
1. Shower (again yes) and wash face with FAB * First Aid Beauty Pure Skin Face Cleaner. Twice to three times a week, I will use my Clarisonic Face Brush. I will begin to ramble slightly about this product. When I bought it 6 years ago, I loved it! My face felt like butter!! That is, until I went to aesthetician 4 months later. She knew right away I was using it. Clairvoyant? No, apparently my pores had spoken. With BIG mouths apparently, as she scolded me for the large pores my investment had created. Oops. She advised to used it twice to three times a week and to use the sensitive brush and not to apply pressure. Aha. Genius. It worked. Tip alert! So I dab a bit of cleanser and do my face with the Clarisonic.
2. Once out of shower, I use same The Ordinary Face Toner as in the am. Using with cotton pad.
3. Here I add the step of using Velvet Ritual “DOPPIO Eyespresso” eye serum. Applied with fingertips , liberally around eyes. Great product, stellar reviews.
4. I apply an additional toner serum to face, hereI need a disclaimer with this product – Velvet Ritual “tone it up” antioxidant facial toner.
***I have tried every Sephora dark spot treatment there is – no expense spared. This product. Wow. NEXT day when faced with my lighted, magnifying mirror, I witnessed a miracle. A slew of spots, there since a bike ride 35+ years ago, were half as visible. Not metaphorically or figuratively – Literally & Truly. I can not rave enough. If you suffer from dark spots – go get this product! Disclaimer – it’s not even meant for dark spots. Shhhh.
5. Finally, I apply my FAB * First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream.
Sweet dreams.!
